The Amazon-owned autonomous vehicle brand Zoox has inked a high profile deal with Resorts World Las Vegas despite being under fire for a recent San Francisco crash.<\/p>\n

Zoox on Thursday issued another software recall <\/a>following a scooter accident in San Francisco, just days after Resorts World announced the brand would be its first official robotaxi partner.<\/p>\n

Zoox took to X with a video of its Resorts World deal, the first official robotaxi firm and Vegas resort tie-up:<\/p>\n

According to a news release, Resorts World will grant Zoox a \u201cdedicated and branded pickup and drop-off location\u201d for the robotaxi fleet at the property.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resorts World Las Vegas President and CFO Carlos Castro stated the\u00a0Zoox tie-up reflects his firm\u2019s commitment to \u201cintegrating technology solutions that elevate our service offerings and enhance how guests experience our property.\u201d<\/p>\n

Castro added that introducing the robotaxis will strengthen Vegas\u2019s position \u201cas a global innovation hub.\u201d<\/p>\n

While an AI-run hotel is taking reservations for July<\/a> in Vegas, and vehicles that have no manual controls may be the future of Sin City, the Zoox brand has other day-to-day issues to address in California.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

At a San Francisco intersection on May 8, an unoccupied Zoox robotaxi hit a slow-turning scooter rider. According to Reuters<\/em>, the accident led Zoox to temporarily freeze on-road operations while it reviewed the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
