Pokémon cards were used instead of a classic deck of cards
Using cards from the iconic trading card game, they decided to hit or stand like they would in a traditional game. The difference was that Pokémon cards were used instead of a classic deck of cards, with the values relating to the card’s health points.

Some viewers on Instagram remarked that the dealer forgot to show his second card before asking the players to hit or stand, which is how traditional blackjack works. It was the first time they ran a game during a convention, with Shiny_CardboardCollector saying he has “a lot of exciting things coming in for this game” in the future.
